Amman to Petra Morning: • Pick-up from Amman: The tour starts with an early pick-up from your hotel in Amman. Make sure to be ready by 7:00 AM. You will travel south towards Petra, which is about a 3-hour drive (250 km). • Scenic Drive to Petra: Enjoy the view of the Jordanian desert and mountains during the drive. Mid-Morning: • Arrival at Petra: Arrive in Petra around 10:30 AM. You will be met by a local guide for a walking tour of the site. • Exploration of Petra: Petra is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The main attractions include: o The Siq: A narrow, winding gorge leading to Petra’s famous entrance. o Al-Khazneh (The Treasury): A stunning rock-cut building, perhaps the most iconic monument in Petra. o The Roman Theater: A large theater built into the hillside, with seating for thousands. o Royal Tombs: A series of grand tombs carved into the rock faces. o The Monastery (Ad Deir): A long hike (about 45 minutes) to a large, impressive structure atop a mountain. • Lunch: Enjoy a traditional Jordanian lunch at a local restaurant near Petra. Afternoon: • More Exploration or Relaxation: You can continue exploring Petra’s other ruins or relax at your leisure in the Petra Visitor Center or surrounding areas. Evening: • Drive to Wadi Rum: After your visit, head to Wadi Rum (a 1.5-hour drive). This desert landscape is famous for its dramatic rock formations, red sands, and historical significance. Check into a Bedouin-style camp where you’ll spend the night. • Bedouin Camp Dinner: Experience a traditional Bedouin dinner, often featuring grilled meats, fresh salads, and Arabic bread. • Overnight at Wadi Rum Camp: Enjoy an authentic desert experience, complete with stargazing in one of the clearest skies in the world.Â

The soft light on the mountains and sand dunes is a breathtaking sight. • Jeep Tour in Wadi Rum: After breakfast, embark on a 4x4 Jeep tour with a local Bedouin guide. This tour takes you to the most famous spots in Wadi Rum, such as: o Lawrence’s Spring: A spring where T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia) is said to have camped. o The Mushroom Rock: A distinctive rock formation shaped like a mushroom. o Khazali Canyon: A narrow canyon with ancient petroglyphs and inscriptions. o Sand Dunes: Experience a thrilling ride through the golden sand dunes. • Return to the Bedouin Camp: Enjoy a light lunch at the camp after the tour.
